Pilot Rules.

Operational conduct, VATSIM expectations, flight filing standards, and professional behavior for EgyptAir VA pilots.

General conduct

  • Pilots must behave professionally and respectfully on the website, Discord, and VATSIM network.
  • VATSIM Code of Conduct, Code of Regulations, and local division procedures must be followed at all times.
  • Pilots must not use the VA identity to disrupt events, ATC operations, or other network users.
  • Harassment, hate speech, abuse, trolling, or impersonation of staff is not permitted.

VATSIM operations

  • Use the correct aircraft type, callsign prefix, and filed route when operating VA flights.
  • Maintain realistic phraseology and follow ATC instructions where possible.
  • Use valid departure and arrival ICAO codes and operate within published network rules.
  • Disconnect safely if unable to continue a flight or comply with ATC instructions.

Flight reporting

  • Flights should be filed through the approved VA system.
  • PIREP data must be accurate and must not be intentionally falsified.
  • Staff may reject, invalidate, or review reports that appear unrealistic, duplicated, or abusive.

Events and community flights

  • Group flights should be coordinated with published briefing details.
  • Pilots should respect event controllers, procedures, and assigned flow restrictions.
  • Members are encouraged to participate in training, community events, and VATSIM activities.

Professionalism standard

When flying under the MSR, MSC callsign, pilots represent EgyptAir VA. Pilots are expected to maintain a realistic, friendly, and professional standard that supports the VATSIM community.
